Bosung Group has designated 'energy business' as the group's new growth engine and is expanding its business area in the energy sector. Hanyang Energy Division uses "2030 Energy Leading Company" as its business vision, and is promoting renewable energy generation projects such as solar, biomass, and gas trading projects. Hanyang's challenge continues so that the strength of infinite natural power can also be our strength.
Bosung entered the housing market after acquiring Hanyang in 2004. Civil engineering, architecture, housing, and plant divisions are firmly supporting the company and gained a competitive edge in responding flexibly to the rapidly changing construction industry environment. In 2010, the company switched to group management and went beyond construction to demonstrate its technological prowess in various business areas such as future cities and leisure tourism development.
Bosung Corporation, which used to specialize in environment-related businesses, acquired a general construction license in 1989 and began to grow. In addition, Bosung acquired Daeyoung Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., and accelerated preparation for independent subcontracting deals and increased orders. In 1989, the company changed its name to Bosung Construction and hired talented employees. In 1993, it moved into a new building in Daeui-dong, Dong-gu, Gwangju, and opened a new era of Bosung Construction. Then later through a merger, we established our position as a competitive general construction company.
The Bosung group started from Bosung Corporation Co., Ltd., which focused on environmental facilities in 1978. When most construction companies have yet recognized the importance of the environment sector, Chairman Lee Ki-seung (President at the time) directly obtained environmental-related licenses and acquired environmental facility licenses to specialize in the environment sector in a pioneering way.
